Accessories for defibrillators - Electrodes, batteries & service

We have accessories for most defibrillators on the market

Electrodes and batteries are quickly in place with you to ensure the functionality of your defibrillator. You can also contact us if you need help with the change. The most common issue with the defibrillators is that the electrodes have not been replaced in time, which means that the gel on the electrode risks drying out and the pacemaker can’t analyze the heart rhythm/give any life-saving shock then. The other common mistake is that the battery has not been replaced in time. Just like a smoke alarm, the defibrillator needs batteries to work, most models indicate when it needs to be replaced, but if you miss this, in worst case it may be that the defibrillator will not work. Even if it could be used with a low battery, the operating time will be considerably shorter than with a new battery. If something else would go wrong except the old electrodes and batteries, the defibrillator should indicate this as well.

CPR kit for defibrillators

In addition to the electrode and battery, a defibrillator should also have a CPR kit available. A CPR kit can include scissors to quickly cut the clothes as the electrodes should be placed directly against the person's skin. A razor because it may be that the electrodes do not get enough contact if the person is very hairy, respiratory protection to use for breaths and gloves that protect you against any fluids etc. A cloth is needed to dry the chest dry which is important for the surge to be conducted through the heart and not superficially through the fluid on the chest (during cardiac arrest it is common for the person to sweat cold, it can also be a drowning accident that led to cardiac arrest).

In order to be able to locate the defibrillator quickly, it is important that it is clearly marked and visible to the user. We recommend that the defibrillator has a fixed place on a wall bracket or in a cabinet. A defibrillator sign above and a sticker on the door to show that there is a defibrillator inside the room.
