BaXstrap - Backboard

In the event of an acute back or neck injury, it is important that the affected person is moved smoothly, safely and comfortably. To avoid further injury, a proper back board is needed that is both adapted to the patient's needs and ergonomically safe for those transporting the person. With the BaXstrap Back Board, you get a high-quality product that suits most needs – regardless of whether you need it in the office, at the sports club or as security in industrial premises.

Safe transfer with BaXstrap backboard

The product is CE marked, which means that it has been developed with safe controls and meets the requirements set within the European Union - so you can feel confident about its standard.

An ergonomic backboard

BaXstrap Backboard is considered one of the lightest boards available on the market today. Despite only weighing 6 kilos (without mounted extensions) and being only 6 centimeters thick, it can handle weights of up to 1100 kilos distributed over the surface of the board. Since the splints are constructed of the reinforcement material carbon fiber and are also cast into the backboard, it is very resistant to various stresses. With a total of 14 different handles, it is easy to find the carrying positions that provide the least stress and also enable a larger number of people to carry. The board is free of seams, which also makes it easy to clean afterwards.

High patient safety

To maximize patient comfort, the BaXstrap Backboard is shaped to the natural anatomy of the back, while ensuring safe mobilization. By combining comfort with stability, the risk of the patient moving around and thereby exacerbating any injuries that may have occurred is reduced. The backboard is excellent for use during, for example, X-ray examinations, CT scans or MRI examinations, which means that the patient does not need to be moved more than necessary. It can be adapted and used for both adults and children. Since the backboard can withstand temperatures from -34°C to 52°C, it can withstand most temperature stresses that may arise.

For maximum safety, we also recommend that the board be supplemented with straps for extra stable fixation. The model is equipped with a total of twelve fasteners, which makes the placement of the straps easy to adjust as needed. Other options for increased safety are head fixation and neck collar. Head fixations reduce the patient's head movements and neck collars provide extra support. These options are important if the back board is to be used in environments where higher altitudes or uneven terrain may occur.
