Storage needs vary between defibrillators kept indoors and those kept outdoors. Indoor defibrillators generally face fewer environmental stresses, so their storage requirements are typically lower. If your defibrillator is in a bag, a simple wall mount is often sufficient and works well for smaller offices.
For busier spaces, we recommend using a cabinet. A cabinet reduces the risk of accidental falls, features an alarm that sounds if opened—alerting others to an emergency—and can serve as a call for help when every second counts. The alarm can be activated or deactivated based on your needs. Cabinets also protect the defibrillator from wear and environmental exposure, extending its lifespan, particularly in dust-prone areas like industrial settings. Even if your defibrillator has a high IP rating, additional protection is beneficial.

Fully dustproof and waterproof, they are suitable for tough environments like sawmills, car washes, and ski lifts. Outdoor cabinets greatly enhance defibrillator accessibility. Studies show that defibrillator availability is halved during evenings and weekends—when 60% of cardiac arrests occur.
