Electrodes are one of the two essential components that need regular replacement (the other being the battery).
We offer electrodes for most defibrillator models. Use the menu above to select defibrillator accessories, choose your model, and find the right electrodes and other accessories. You can also enter your model in the search bar for quick access. If you’re unsure which electrode fits your defibrillator, feel free to send a photo of your defibrillator or electrode to our info email, and we’ll assist you in finding the right match.
All defibrillator electrodes contain a gel that enables effective skin contact. This gel dries out over time or with use, which is why electrodes need regular replacement. The gel’s conductivity allows the defibrillator to accurately analyze the heart rhythm and deliver a life-saving electric shock, which travels from one electrode through the heart to the other.
It depends onå what a pacemaker you have. Sometimes the last use-by date is on; electrode for the package and sometimes the defibrillator warns by sound and / or a symbol.
It depends onå what a heart starter, it's usually easy. A connector or cassette is pulled out to remove the old electrodes and the new electrodes are connected instead.
The defibrillator may become unusable. If the electrodes don't fit, it can't analyze the heart rhythm or it can be painful. that the life-saving current is not conducted properly through the heart, but the current is instead conducted superficially and burn injuries occur instead.
The old electrodes are sorted as electronics atå å the recycling.
It can be good to have a couple of extra electrodes in case they don't work or you need to use several before you have time to order new ones. However, think about that the electrodes become unusable over time ä even if they are not used.
