Heartsine Samaritan electrode and battery pack for treatment of children 0-8 years.
The shelf life is approximately 4 years and the expiry date is stated on the packaging. Electrode and battery in a convenient 2 in 1 package makes it easier to keep track of one date instead of two. When the battery is at a level where it can deliver 10 shocks in a cardiac arrest, the defibrillator starts beeping. However, keep an eye on the expiry date stated on the packaging because the electrodes dry out and then the contact with the skin may be insufficient for analysis of the heart rhythm and/or a shock may not be effective.
A clear picture on the packaging shows how the electrodes should be placed on the child. Pink color on the package distinguishes the children's package from the adult package.
